Yarn Bombing!
Coming back at you with a cool, cute trend that has caught on in a number of different places in the world over the course of the past decade or so. It's called yarn bombing, and it is when people, one way or another, wrap public free-standing objects in knitted sweaters or patterns. One form I saw was a number of environmental activists cloaked all their community's trees in winter sweaters. This Ted Talk goes into the history of the tradition and its various manifestations. Super interesting, worth the short watch. Here is the clip.
