Re-constructing a Well-Known Design

For Project 4, I decided to re-construct the well known Bicycle design for the back of playing cards. This was interesting for me to play around with because we have been discussing in-class about to what extent can a designer take from an already existing artwork to create a new piece that he/she considers as art. I think my re-construction of this well-known Bicycle design is art because by putting the artwork in context of "misery poker" and Penn, I heightened the meaning and significance of this design.
