Times Square Underwater

One of the artist presentations from this semester discussed using public art instillations to promote social change. I remember one example of an artist importing ice from Iceland to show how the Earth is getting warmer, and this spurred debate over whether or not his message was effective given the arduous process of importing the ice. I was exploring other ways artists promote social change using public instillations, and this one that reimagines NY underwater seems like an example of how to engage the viewers more effectively. The video documentation seems very similar to what we're doing in Project 4 in class right now!
