Public art that turns cities into playgrounds of the imagination

This Ted Talk given by artist Helen Marriage talks about her work organizing public art installation in London and Ireland. Her company specializes in disruptive art events that can engage a whole city and draw people into them who would normally never go see such art installations. In her talk she described the process for getting one performative art piece approved in London and how it years to do. This reminded me a bit of our class's difficulties with getting our public art interventions approved on campus. Are difficulties with the approval process are minor compared to what she faced but it is interesting to know that people who do this kind of work professionally also face the same roadblocks that our class does.
