In 2014, 1500 little red boxes that were modeled after emergency boxes--but contained single red roses--were installed throughout Paris on Valentines Day. The boxes said "In case of , break glass." I really like this form of public art, and I also wonder if they asked for permission from the local government for installing these in public spaces.
