The Art of Stop Motion Animation

This article was about highlighting the incredibly tedious and time consuming art form of stop motion animation. The author used examples from recent full length stop motions movies such as Laika'a Kubo and the Two Strings and Wes Anderson's Isle of Dog to discuss the incredible attention to detail that goes into making one of these movies. Although these movies use 3D figures in each frame, the process is not far off from what we are currently doing in class with our Dada poem videos. Thankfully, Photoshop has the option to make key frames and the program automatically fills in the frames in between to make our animations, otherwise this project would no doubt take much longer.
