"Seeing Calvino"

"Seeing Calvino" is a tumblr page formed by 3 artists (Matt Kish, Leighton Connor, and Joe Kuth). They began illustrating Invisible Cities in April of 2014, and would post artwork of their interpretation of each of the novel's cities on this page. Although some of the artworks use more direct references and realistic imagery, I found it interesting to look through the images and see the different ways each city was illustrated and focus on the more abstract techniques they applied.
