I found this website that goes through a few examples of how abstraction can make our art more effective in communicating ideas. It's interesting how they employ abstraction techniques in non-abstract works. The pieces are really nice to look through and can help us get a better idea of using visual abstraction techniques for our cities project (and all the ones after that).
