Do You Understand Road Signs?

In this study, researchers found that the people are respond better to directions that are show graphically or through the use of pictures. The researchers found how convoluted and difficult directions could be if they are written in word form. It would leave people to interpret the sign. Also, when the sign has words in one language, people who can not fully speak or understand the sign. If it was in picture form, it would be less open to interpretation and people would have direct understanding of the text.
